Fun Run!

It was fun!  Thanks to all the parents who helped put this event on.  Thanks also to everyone who came out and participated!

Grandparent Interview

This week's homework is to interview a grandparent.  The interview forms are in the homework packet.  Please make sure to get three details for each question.  Students will use this information to write a three paragraph report about their grandparent.  Students may need some help with this assignment.  The interview notes should be completed by the student.  If you have any questions, let me know.  This is a great assignment for your child to start learning some family history.  I think you will enjoy it.  

Math Test

The math test from Friday is graded and in your student's Monday folder.  Go over the test with them.  Talk to them about why they made certain choices.  Look for teachable moments.  Overall they did well.  This is an example of totally independent work by your child.  The only assisstance given was in reading the questions.

Check out the quick links section of my website for web based activities that we do at school, that you can also do at home.  I recommend Typing Club (if you have a device with a keyboard), Lexia and iReady.  Students can work on these whenever.  ReadLive can only be done at school at this point.  Spelling City works great on tablets and computers.
