Happy May everyone! This last part of the school year will fly by. Enjoy all the fun events! Make sure you keep pushing your child to learn as much as possible. Field TripsI am sending home permission slips for all 3 trips today. Please make sure to indicate whether your child wants to order a sack lunch that day. Also, if you sign up to drive, please indicate who is driving. Thanks for your amazing support this year with field trips. The parents in this class have made taking students on these valuable trips a breeze. Please come to any or all, they should all be really fun events. AcademicsWe have been pushing hard to keep the academic rigor high in 2nd grade all the way until the end of the year. Our current focus include:
Science NightOnce again a plug for Science Night. Plan on coming out and participating in Science Challenges and Experiences with your children. It should be a lot of fun (and probably a mess!). Computer ProgrammingYou may have noticed your child is starting to play with Coding. I am trying to spark an interest in them. They are using Khan Academy to learn the basics. Look for more information over the coming weeks. This could be a fun summer activity!
