Get comfy, cozy tonight and read a Christmas story or two.  There is no offical homework this week,  however, reading is always a good idea! 

There will not be any homework during Christmas break as well.  Again, reading is always a good idea!  We will also open up a few more levels on ST Math, which is another tool to use to keep your students sharp during the break.

Donut Party!  Wednesday morning at 9 am (time change due to school sing-along).  Thank you to everyone who has signed up to bring something.  Thank you Kristy Lico for organizing the party! The fun will continue after Atria with a special lunch time schedule, games and most likely more singing! Just a reminder that Wednesday is a full day.

We will be taking a break from STAR Homework and spelling tests this week and next.  We will start back up in January. This week's homework will be to write a short Christmas story, similar to the Halloween story they wrote in October.  There will be some story starters in their Monday folder to help get them started. Have them plan a story that has a beginning, middle and an end.  We suggest that they start with a "sloppy copy" or a rough draft, edit their story and then turn in a final copy. Keep it simple and enjoy this change in pace.  We always have fun hearing everyone's story!  

Achieve's Christmas performance will be this Thursday, December 15 at Paradise Alliance Church (CMA).  We are asking that you bring your child to the church between 6:45-6:50 pm.  The show will start at 7 pm.

Our class will be singing at Atria Senior Living on Wednesday, December 21.  We could still use a few more parent drivers (thank you to the ones who have already signed up).  We will meet at 10:30 am and be back around 12:15.  Please email Jessica if you can drive.  A permission slip will be in the Monday Folder. Please sign and return it this week.

We will continue to practice double addition regrouping this week and next.  We have been so impressed with their math skills!  They are doing great!  

We use our chromebooks and ipads several times a day.  Unfortunately, some headphones aren't making it through the wear and tear.  Even our "loaners" aren't working well.  Check with your child to see if they are in need of another set of headphones.  Maybe you have an extra set of earbuds or headphones around your house you could send in for your child.  Or maybe this might be a good Christmas gift idea?!?
