Big Week In 2nd Grade

Grandparent's Day has arrived!  This Friday at 11:30.  Grandparents won't want to miss out.  It will be a great time and the kids will show off some of their amazing singing.  Send in treats if you are able.  Finger foods only.
A-K Please send in snacks or finger foods.
L-Z Please send in finger food desserts.
Thanks!

Community Service Super Stars

Our first show will be at the Paradise Branch of the Butte County Library on 11/14.  We will start our trip to the Library with a tour of Library operations.  Then we will put on a concert for the preschoolers, read a story or two and lead a craft activity.  The emphasis will be on developing a love of reading.

Our second show will be to Atria Paradise, which is the nursing home on Bushman Rd. on 11/21.   We will entertain the residents with some of our favorite songs and some holiday songs.  Our goal for this outing is simply to brighten someone's day.

We just had a request to sing at the December meeting of the Paradise Garden Club on Dec. 8.  We will be doing all or mostly Christmas Songs.  Once again our goal is to make someone's day.  We will be able to walk on this trip, weather permitting.  They meet at the Recreation Center.

Homework

Homework seems to have been a success last week, so I'm going to try it again.  I've switched up the activities a little.  Students should do40 minutes of Moby Max spread throughout the week.  Please continue to give me feedback.  Do you like it?  Does it work with home routines?  What can your child do independently?

Newsletter on Phones

I hope everyone is enjoying the convenience of having the class newsletter on your phone.  If you haven't noticed the Calendar in a while, it is still there.  Just scroll down to the bottom and find our upcoming class events.  If you are using Google Calendars, you can touch the event and add it to your calendar as well.
