This Week in 2nd GradeMath- We are going to zip through triple digit addition and subtraction in the next 2 weeks. We are also going to tackle measuring this week. I don't think it will feel like "math" to them... it will allow for some fun, hands-on learning! Science- Our final habitat project will be done in class this week! They will be designing an animal with specific adaptations to survive in a specific habitat. I'm looking forward to watching their knowledge be applied in a creative way! Reading/Writing- We are reading Charlotte's Web and tying it into our Habitat Unit. We will also use writing to describe different animals and habitats. Our book study will also include new vocabulary...so feel free to ask them what word they learned today! (***Monday we learned about the word "injustice") Social Studies- Our science unit will continue to develop map reading skills, which is a Social Studies standard for 2nd Grade. We will also be talking a bit more about economy as we read Charlotte's Web. Spelling- There will be no spelling for the rest of the school year. STAR HomeworkLast week was the last week of Homework!
