This Week In 2nd Grade...It's PLP week! I'm excited to meet with all of you. Thank you for signing up or emailing me. There are a few more spots to be filled. Follow the link in the email or email me to find a time that works for you. Remember that Thursday, March 2nd is a half day! Math: We will be finishing up our Chapter 10 this week. The students have been doing a great job with the hundreds place value. Reading: We will be working on finding evidence in our reading. This is a comprehension skill that will allow them to support their answers when asked questions about the reading. Writing: The students are learning ways to edit their writing by correcting their spelling, punctuation and sentence structure. Science: Understanding the importance of evidence is something we will continue to focus on. This will be tied to the reading in class as well as other activities. PLP GoalsLook for a goal worksheet in the Monday/Homework folder to fill out for homework this week. Talk to your child about the goals they want to set for the last trimesetr and be sure to fill out the backside. You can return the form any day this week or bring it to your PLP. Star HomeworkThere will be no spelling this week. Again, we will be focusing on reading. Every 10 minutes of reading will earn them a star! The PLP Goal worksheet will be the other activity that needs to be completed and turned in (or brought to the PLP).
