Big focus here at the end of Second Grade on transitioning reading fluency into reading comprehension. To help your child, ask questions after reading. Ask them to predict what might happen. Watch their AR scores to ensure they are remembering what they read. Students will also begin to formalize grammar rules.
Stay tuned we will be gearing up for Science Night soon.
Homework is a packet this week. The Reading Log is on the front of the packet. Please be sure to fill out the reading log each night. Student should read 20 minutes each night. Packet is due Friday.
