FieldtripsI have two more field trips in the works. Here's the info I have so far. On November 20th we will take a geology hike in Upper Bidwell Park. The goal of this field trip is to talk about different layers of rock formations while actually walking to those formations. The field trip should be extra special this year. Athalia's grandparents are actual geologists and will be helping to the lead and teach us about rocks. This is a great one if you like to be outside. We will plan on going rain or shine. We have been practicing Christmas songs to sing at Atria (previously Oak Knolls). We will go on December 18th. It should be great! More information to follow. Just wanted to get it on your calendars. MathMore placevalue up to 100! If you haven't already, try logging on to iReady at home. Your child can show you how. This is a great way that students can work on skills at their own pace. Try it out. Watch how they work, it's pretty interesting. Just make sure not too help! No hints! It also gives me feedback about how they are doing. It only works on devices that can run Flash, like computers or chromebooks, maybe some non Apple tablets. GeologyStudents worked on a great lab last week that included hardness tests of different rocks and collecting information on a form on the Chromebooks. Ask them about it. It was really fun. PLP ConferencesPersonalized Learning Plan conferences are here again. I can't believe 1 trimester is over. I have attached your meeting times. If you cannot make it, please let me know. HomeworkNo spelling this week, since we only have 4 days and Friday was crazy!
